We are so excited to see our recent collaborative work on "Ethical and Equitable Engagement of Indigenous Peoples and their Knowledge Systems within the UNFCCC" platformed at London Climate Action Week, through an insightful dialogue and panel co-organised by IWGIA - International Work Group for Indigenous Affairs, Wellcome Trust, The University of British Columbia and Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact. Indigenous Peoples have long observed environmental change and developed approaches to adaptation, mitigation, and resilience grounded in generations of knowledge. While they are frontline leaders in responding to the climate crisis, their knowledge and perspectives have often been excluded from global climate science and policy discussions. This panel will discuss the importance of ethically and equitably integrating Indigenous Knowledge Systems into climate governance, including the IPCC. 📅 Monday, 22 June 2026
🕑 14:00 – 15:30 (UK time)
📍 Wellcome Trust, The Gibbs Building, 215 Euston Road, London, NW1 2BE
The event can be attended in person (register here: https://lnkd.in/ehAGhBm4) or online (Contact IWGIA at rc@iwgia.org, and the link to join online with be sent to you!)
