In Ranomafana, Madagascar, our partner oloNala supports grassroots community organizations, artists, and educators in building their own conservation narrative through storytelling, art-based environmental education, and community-led conservation. Some of this work has involved:

  • The creation of a nature journaling program at the Ranomafana Nature Center, where students are encouraged to explore their surroundings through a creative lens

  • Supporting grassroots collective VOI Mitsinjo in building a regenerative ecotourism model of their own design

  • Building Madagascar's first art residency program for Malagasy artists working at the intersection of conservation and the arts

  • Supporting women's collective Tanamasoandro
