The panel above was held on November 4th, 2025, following COP 30 in Belém, Brazil, and chaired by Laurie Parsons. Speakers included: Dr Aline Carrara, representing Tohu Indigenous Analytics, is a Brazilian environmental social scientist and practitioner who has worked on issues connected to Indigenous territorial sovereignty, deforestation, infrastructure and commodity supply chains, in tropical forest regions (Amazonia, Indonesia) and the Pacific for the past two decades.
Eliot Whittington, Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) Executive Director, Chief Systems Change Officer; Director of CISL’s Corporate Leaders Groups
Anna Åberg, Research Fellow, Environment and Society Centre, Chatham House; her work focuses on international climate politics, the UN climate negotiations, and climate finance.
Dr Angus McNelly, King’s College London, is an interdisciplinary scholar interested in the politics of transformative change and twenty-first century capitalism.
Dr Stephen Cornelius is the Deputy Global Leader and Innovation Lead of Climate and Energy at WWF. Cornelius joined WWF as WWF-UK’s Chief Adviser on Climate Change in 2015 and has worked at the interface of science and policy.
